About Us

Colors of Caucasus is a Georgian startup that focuses on coloring natural fabrics with natural minerals and plants.

Plant and mineral hand dyed fabrics.

The textiles are hand dyed in Georgia at the Colors of Caucasus dyehouses. The colors are created from plants and minerals that are endemic to the Caucasus. Most of the plants have the healing properties and lend lustrous colors to natural fabrics.

We create special unique colors for brands.

For fashion brands we create custom natural colors like Ashy peach, Caucasian light coral, Caucasian red, black and many others…..
Long-lasting colors can be created with natural dyes utilizing good knowledge of fabric alchemy. Using Caucasian minerals and plants to dye white silk, cotton and linen fabrics creates lustrous and lightweight unique shades that will last for many years and even centuries.

Naturally dyed fabrics are good for health and the environment.

The Caucasus is well known for its native plants and minerals which have been used to color the textiles since ancient times. Over many centuries Georgians have used natural plants known for their medicinal  and healing benefits to dye fabrics.

Our mission:

Colors of Caucasus is an environmentally and socially conscious project founded with one mission: we no longer need to harm the environment in the name of Fashion.

Our Story:

The Caucasus Mountain range stretches from the Black Sea to the Caspian Sea and is at the intersection of Europe and Asia. Crossing the Caucasus Mountain range was an important section of the northern arm of the Silk Route from 2nd to the 18th century. The Caucasus is well known for its indigenous plants and minerals which have been used to color textiles since ancient times. The Colors of Caucasus revived and modernized the old traditional formulas.

Our Products

We have three main products: silk, cotton and linen.  All of our fabrics are naturally dyed with plants and minerals in different regions of Georgia.

Cotton

Our cotton collection is soft yet durable, breathable and absorbant. When you are working out in warm sunny weather, clothing made with synthetic materials trap perspiration and moisture leaving the wearer uncomfortable, but that’s not the case with our cotton…

Silk

Silk is produced from the cocoons of silkworm caterpillars, which is boiled and then unraveled into silk thread and our silk collection follows the same method. Despite its delicate feel, the silk used for our collection has one of the strongest fibers and its comfort is unmatched…

Linen

Linen is a textile made from the fibers of the flax plant. The fabric is durable but airy, and it dries up quicker than even most cotton products. The durability and quality…

Our Projects

Colors of Caucasus partners with fashion brands and creates unique, natural fabrics, which are all dyed in our own dyehouses in Georgia.
